Program Overview
There's no question about the benefits of eating lean and healthy, but old habits are hard to change. There's a good chance you've tried diets or eating plans, gone to support groups, read books, and may have even tried diet pills before. If you’re like many, most your results were limited and temporary.
When comfort foods come a-calling, it is difficult to say no. It's difficult to imagine living without them. The thought of not eating sweets, pastas, white breads, or your favorite sauces and dressings as you do now means giving up old friends and being deprived of a really important part of your life.
Philosophy
The philosophy of LivingLean™ is that if people can change the way they think, they can change their lives in any way they desire. Real weight loss starts in the mind, goes to the emotions, and ends up with the choices that we make. Most of the choices you make about eating are based on the way you feel about what or how you are eating. When you think about eating “for your health” do you get all warm and fuzzy? Most likely not. In LivingLean™ you will discover why that is. You will start seeing and feeling differently about food, your health, and the possibilities that are available to you through LivingLean™ (living healthy and free). You will explore new ways of thinking about the process of eating that are very different from anything you've tried or thought of before.
You will discover and understand the many ways your mind tricks you and affects you emotionally and physically to keep you eating for comfort. In a few short days, you'll learn how to master your mind and change your emotional relationship with food, actually turning the process of losing weight into a positive experience. You'll learn how to eliminate the psychological blocks that have kept you away from success in the past. This training is about living lean and powerfully:
- with pride and dignity
- without deprivation
You'll learn how to be powerful in the midst of stress, boredom, and other problems without resorting to food as your solution. We are confident that this program will work for you. Take the first five sessions. That’s all that we ask. A movie a week can change your life.
Program Schedule
The recommended schedule for the LivingLean™ Program consists of 14 videos over a period of 8 weeks (although you can choose the once a week option). Attending each session is important because this is a step-by-step process, where one day builds the foundation for the next. The first five sessions are incredibly important as it is in these sessions that you will learn the secrets to personal power. The remaining are support sessions that deal with the tricks your mind plays on your higher self. These support sessions focus on how to create within yourself the possibility of being lean, healthy, and free into your future, as well as how to deal with all sorts of adverse situations. They also give you tips on how to create a healthy family without starting WWIII.
A typical schedule is as follows:

Each session lasts from 30 - 45 minutes, and consists of an audio/visual seminar and interactive quizzes. There are also many support components like RealTalkRadio™, a live internet radio show where you may call in and talk to a medical professional to get advice.
You gain control, believe it or not, after Session 3. Our promise is: "enroll, follow our instructions, and bring all the comfort foods you want…because in a few short weeks you won't care about them anymore."

The Personal Home Page is your link to freedom. Use your home page to access the LivingLean™ Program Sessions, review a session, or view the reference manual. On the Member Home Page there are 9 helpful tools that you may use at any time:

LivingLean™ is Changing Lives
"My company recommended the LivingLean™ program under the umbrella of their "Wellness" program. They even offered a reimbursement upon completion of the program, so I figured there was little to lose! That pretty well sums up my 'low expectations' of what I would personally gain in going through the program. Since I never considered myself terribly 'overweight', I was primarily interested in improving my eating habits and lowering my cholesterol.
During the initial 5 weeks of participating in the program, I began to realize the wider possibilities of getting a handle on my eating habits! The most important insight I gained was the substitution of a positive goal for living lean in place of all the negatives normally associated with simply trying to diet. In my case, I chose to focus on the enjoyment I would receive from the renewed energy and stamina that would allow me to play basketball with my two youngest daughters.
At the end of the course I had eliminated my 'main munch', which was afternoon trips to the vending machines at work. I lost about 12 pounds in the process. I also started a daily walk of at least 1 mile at a 20 minute pace. Now, after two additional months, I have lost a total of 23 pounds, and my cholesterol has returned to normal. My walking has increased to 4 miles, 5 days a week at a 15 minute/mile pace, and I fixed the basketball hoop and have had the enjoyment of shooting hoops with my girls! I'll be repeating the program this summer to work on another issue, this one involving the candy dishes that seem to be everywhere I turn at work!
