LivingSmart™ - Before it's a Problem

Living Smart™ helps individuals break unhealthy drinking habits. It empowers participants to make rational rather than emotional decisions about what, where, when and how much to drink. While it is designed to create habits and patterns that support living healthy and smart, if their goal is to stop drinking, they learn how to do that as well in this four week cognitive training. Many participants have shared that they learned more in this 30-day training than in $30,000 resident programs. The workshop consists of 8 sessions, an orientation, and an introduction. A typical daily session will include a self-evaluation survey to assess the individual’s current emotional state, four five-minute segments utilizing engaging video and audio, interactive exercises following each segment, and personalized coaching. Also available to participants are access to MP3 support audios, an online manual, access to a course review for easy reference or support, journaling, live RealTalkRadio for support groups, take-away items, personalized emails and reminders.

LivingSmart™ Program Overview

Yes, there's no question about the benefits of moderating your drinking, but for some it's hard to do.There's a good chance you've tried to stop or reduce the amount or frequency of your drinking.  You may have succeeded ... for a short time, but in the end went back to your old ways.

Controlling alcohol consumption can be difficult because the dependency is complex. If you drink on a regular basis it may be difficult to imagine what it's like to live as a person who doesn't drink. The thought of not drinking can be perceived as giving up an old friend or of being deprived of something really important. For many of us alcohol is connected to many parts of our lives like happy hour, winding down, dinner, parties, sporting events, and so on. The thought of not drinking in those situations or drinking less can be hard to imagine. 

The truth is, a person who has never started drinking doesn't miss it, and you won't either after the LivingSmart™ Program. We use a proven process called Structured Cognitive Training that will enable you to permanently change your relationship with alcohol.

Program Schedule

LivingSmart™ consists of 12 sessions over a period of 5 weeks. You will choose to quit or moderate your drinking, believe it or not, after Session 3. Our promise is: "enroll, follow our instructions, and bring all the doubt you want…because in a few short weeks you won't care about alcohol like you do now anymore." Attending each of the first five sessions is important, as it's a step-by-step process where one day builds the foundation for the next. The first five sessions are on consecutive days. We purposely set it up this way in order to help you create momentum. Here’s the way it works: You take the introduction and then choose a quit day. It can be as much as three months out. You decide when you think you’re going to be ready.
